Cambridge and Loughborough University

Two research papers were presented at Rapid Design, Prototyping & Manufacturing (RDPM) conference in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK on 28th April 2017.

 Patrick and Zicheng at RDPM

Dr Zhu (left) presented the paper 'Economic Analysis of Plastic Additive Manufacturing for Production of End Use Products: A Preliminary Study', focusing on SLS and FDM production costs, part size and quantity. Dr Pradel (right) presented the lastest finding on FDM part geometry complexity, build time and cost, 'Complexity Is Not For Free: The Impact of Component Complexity on Additive Manufacturing Build Time'.
