Welcome to Design for Additive Manufacturing (D4AM) research webpage. Our activities focus on the investigation of new design methodologies, rules and guidelines for designing end use products and components using additive manufacturing (AM), aka 3D printing, as the production technology.

Dr Moultrie and Prof Bibb were awarded an EPSRC grant to pursue the development of design rules and guidelines specifically for additive manufacturing of end use products and components. This pilot project, led by two internationally leading universities, Cambridge and Loughborough, focuses on the use of AM for series production from the design aspect.
